New Information about open source from Samsung
There are some news about the source code for Samsung GT-I7500 Galaxy.
From the mailing list of the android kernel development, i was pointed to opensource.samsungmobile.com. But no open source for the Galaxy.
I have found the website innovator.samsungmobile.com On this i found materials for Samsung mobile phones with Windows Mobile, Symbian and Java platforms. But today no Android and no source code for the Galaxy kernel.
But from this website i take the email address developer@samsung.com and send a new mail to Samsung. If this got no result, i have found android kernel developer with a Samsung email address here. The next step is sending an email to them.

Ich drücke dir die Daumen, das was dabei rumkommt!
Viel Glück!
My thought is that they’re maybe waiting with releasing it until it’s fairly stable
I mean, they know people will make ROMs based on it and i guess they want the nastiest bugs fixed before people try to do it themselves.
There is two updates for GT I7500 (GT-I7500_OpenSource_Update2.zip) on http://opensource.samsungmobile.com/index.jsp?page=2
Does anybody know anything about each one ?
